SAPSNF is an acronym for the Statewide Average Payment for Skilled Nursing Facility care.
l This is an average amount paid for a person in a long-term care facility (LTCF) on a monthly basis.
l There are two different SAPSNF rates: one for MA and one for GAMC.
l The SAPSNF is used when determining a transfer penalty for either MA or GAMC.
Note: The transfer penalty affects payment of MA long-term care services or GAMC eligibility.
l This chart provides the monthly SAPSNF amounts for each program based on effective dates.
