This manual letter lists new and revised material for the Health Care Programs Manual (HCPM). Unless otherwise noted, new and revised instructions are effective October 1, 2014.
Manual Letter #69 revises policy to reflect that recipients of a cash grant through the Group Residential Housing (GRH) program do not receive automatic eligibility for Medical Assistance (MA). GRH recipients must meet all program eligibility requirements to qualify for MA. As part of this revision, Manual Letter #69 archives Section 03.45.20 - Group Residential Housing under Chapter 3 - Eligibility Groups and Bases of Eligibility and creates a new section for GRH under Chapter 30 - Other Related Programs. The new section, Section 30.35 - Group Residential Housing, includes only information about the program and removes all references to automatic eligibility for MA.
