Hostile fire pay and imminent danger pay (sometimes referred to as ”combat pay”) are types of special pay to a military service member.
Treat hostile fire pay as follows:
l MA Method A and MinnesotaCare: Count hostile fire pay as earned income.
l MA Method B, MA-EPD, MSP, and LTC: Exclude hostile fire pay.
