GAMC and GHO Income Calculation (Archive)

The purpose of the GAMC and GHO income calculation is to determine a person’s gross income. This gross income is compared to the appropriate income standard to determine if the client is income eligible for GAMC and GHO.

The income calculation steps for GAMC and GHO are:

1. Determine gross income. See Determining Gross Income - MA/GAMC.

2. Compare the appropriate six-month income standard to the gross income to determine if the client is income eligible.

l  The client is income eligible for GAMC if the client’s income is at or below the 75% FPG income standard.

l  The client is income eligible for GHO if the client’s income exceeds the 75% FPG income standard but is less than the 175% FPG income standard.

l  The client is not eligible for GHO if the client’s income exceeds 175% FPG .

Example:

Clayton applies for GAMC. His gross income for six months is $2,100. The 75% FPG six-month income standard for a household of one is $3,900. Clayton is income eligible for GAMC.
