SAPSNF is an acronym for the Statewide Average Payment for Skilled Nursing Facility care.
l This is the average amount paid by MA on a monthly basis for a person in a long-term care facility (LTCF).
l The SAPSNF is used when determining a transfer penalty for MA.
Note: The transfer penalty affects MA Payment of Long-Term Care (LTC) Services.
