The following unearned income is excluded in the LTC income calculation:
l German Reparation payments.
l Japanese and Aleutian Restitution payments.
l Agent Orange Settlement Fund payments.
l Radiation Exposure payments.
l Payments under the Domestic Volunteer Services Act.
l Payments received under the White Earth Land Settlement Act (WELSA).
l Netherlands Act (WUV) payments to victims of Nazi persecution.
l Vietnamese Commando Compensation payments.
l Payments to children of Vietnam veterans with spina bifida.
l Austrian reparation payments.
l Blood Product Settlement Payments.
l Payments by the Secretary of Defense to people captured and interned by North Vietnam.
l Proceeds from reverse mortgages, and any interest or earnings on these proceeds.
Note: Proceeds from a reverse mortgage are treated as a conversion of an asset and not income. Reverse mortgage proceeds retained past the month of receipt are counted as available assets and must be counted toward the asset limit.
l Group Residential Housing (GRH) cash grants.
l Interest earned on a burial account.
l Property tax refunds for homeowners or renters.
l Earned Income Credit.
