Eligibility for Minnesota Health Care Programs depends on certain factors. The relevant factors vary by program but may include age, disability, pregnancy, or presence of children in the home.
l For MinnesotaCare, these factors determine the correct MinnesotaCare eligibility group.
l For Medical Assistance (MA), these factors may provide a basis of eligibility, which is a key requirement for MA.
There are other factors that play a role in determining the appropriate health care program coverage. These may include immigration status, living arrangement, eligibility for other assistance programs, chronic medical needs, or a specific medical diagnosis.
