MinnesotaCare

MinnesotaCare (MCRE) is a health care program that provides coverage for both families with children and adults without children. Enrollees must pay a monthly premium to establish and maintain eligibility.

Unlike Medical Assistance (MA), there are no bases of eligibility for MCRE. Factors such as pregnancy, age, and household composition determine which eligibility group applies to the applicant. The eligibility group determines which eligibility requirements must be met for eligibility to begin.

See the following sections for more specific information.

MCRE Eligibility Groups.

Pregnant Women.

Auto Newborns.
