500.15.10 Whose Income Counts for MinnesotaCare |

Income eligibility for MinnesotaCare is determined by a person's household income.
The income of the following members of a person's household is counted as part of his or her household income for MinnesotaCare:
The taxpayer and spouse
Tax dependents expected to be required to file a federal income tax return
The income of tax dependents who file federal income tax returns when the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) does not require them to file is excluded from a person’s household income.
